Write With Me Study Hall, Monday, August 24, 2015: Opportunities

 Hey, Wonderful Peeps, I have appointments this morning and so will be starting my Study Hall late, but I’ll be looking out for you all in the fly. In the meantime, I want to share with you this wonderful blog you can subscribe to, if you like. It’s written and coordinated by Erika Dreifus, an accomplished author and Media Editor for Fig Tree Books.

Glenda Bailey-Mershon is the author of the novel Eve’s Garden (Twisted Road, 2014), the story of three generations of Romani women surviving in North Georgia, USA, during the 1960s. She is also the author of Weaver’s Knot: Poems (Finishing Line Press, forthcoming 2023) and other poetry titles, including sa-co-ni-ge/blue smoke: poems from the Southern Appalachians (Jane’s Stories) and Bird Talk: Poems (Wild Dove). A founder of the nonprofit, Jane’s Stories Press Foundarion, which presents the Clara Johnson Award for Women’s Literature, she edited four of their anthologies, the latest being Bridges and Borders, featuring immigrant women writers.

    Checking in now, BP still up a bit after panicky am: got an email from AmEx, on top od the market news, I got a “2nd reminder” to activate my new card–which I never received, nor did I get a FIRST notice. Got it straightened out, but financial matters always make me anxious.

    Today, Randi is about to find love interests coming at her from all sides, if I have anything to say about it…

      Whooee, nothing like a little anxiety to fuel a love scene or two! Let us know what kind of trouble Randi gets into.

      I admit my appointments wore me out, so I may just wait to start fresh tomorrow morning. Sometimes, there’s nothing you can do but what’s in front of you, you know? But I will make it up.
