Hi! It’s a traveling day for me.(Going to see my new granddaughter and her brother!) But to keep faith with our pact, I will be stopping for brief writing breaks whenever I can today.

Glenda Bailey-Mershon is the author of the novel Eve’s Garden (Twisted Road, 2014), the story of three generations of Romani women surviving in North Georgia, USA, during the 1960s. She is also the author of Weaver’s Knot: Poems (Finishing Line Press, forthcoming 2023) and other poetry titles, including sa-co-ni-ge/blue smoke: poems from the Southern Appalachians (Jane’s Stories) and Bird Talk: Poems (Wild Dove). A founder of the nonprofit, Jane’s Stories Press Foundarion, which presents the Clara Johnson Award for Women’s Literature, she edited four of their anthologies, the latest being Bridges and Borders, featuring immigrant women writers.

    Lucky you, Glenda–
    So far my new plan is working–about 300 words today. Will try to squeeze in another session or two this week, before a long Valentine weekend babysitting my granddaughters. Ain’t being a grandma wunnerful??!!

      It is! I’m hitting about the same–several sessions a week. Can’t seem to work up steam for daily creation, though I can manage a little bit of massaging.

        I spent another couple of hours this afternoon–total for the day 775, and it all feels/reads pretty good. Probably no more til next week mid-week, but I expect to brainstorm some stuff on the train. Enjoy your visit!.
