Write With Me Study Hall, Monday, May 2, 2016: Darling Companions

We are off to see the grands in Colorado and then a festival with friends in California. Along the way, Lake Tahoe and the Grand Canyon, both of which I’ve never seen. So for the next two weeks I expect to do some travel journaling, but steady work on the novel and short stories might be impossible, because of, well, fun. Even writers have to vacation!

Of course, smack dab in the middle of an unfamiliar place is exactly where I tend to get revelations. Something about being on new territory sets my brain afire. So who knows what will happen? In the meantime, I have my life partner and dearest love with me, and will be surrounded by good friends and family. And, today, some sweet new companions saw us on our way:

Lovely yellow finches are flashing along our path.

What’s up with you and your writing today?
